He had a pedal that stacked a Klon circuit into a Prince of Tone circuit. His klones were very accurate and he only built them when the Centaur and KTR were not being produced... however, he called this pedal King Klon. The thing with a lot of the boutique builders and their clones is they tend to either make changes to the components or circuit to make up for a percieved shortcoming or add something new to the design... unless its a dicontinued pedal and there is a market for an accurate reproduction. The clones from china are often straight up clones of lesser quality that give you the character but are not quite as good. I agree, the people buying the clones from china are not likely to buy a pedal from the original designer, unless they got the clone as a cost effective way to test the circuit. My experience is usually, if you like the clone, you will love the original. Very rarely will you not be able to to tell the difference. Personally, if I bought a clone, I will buy the original when I can afford to.

This is a great idea that they had. MXR is normally good quality at a price thats affordable and is often found along side Analogman and Wampler and other boutique brands. These licensing deals put these pedals in reach of people who either couldn't afford or wouldn't pay what the originals cost.

If it helps, I've been playing for over 30 years and I'd never heard of an ebow until now...2024. I'm guessing I've been hearing it on recordings though, stuff I'd been trying to play too... Ffs...

I use it as a Bass Preamp DI with my P Bass. It clips if I play hard so it reminds to play soft. It's a compressor anyway. But sometimea I play hard to get that responsive overdrive tone.

I think what this goes to show is that people don't love the sound of the Klon, they love the myth of the Klon.

My rig has definitely evolved but I am definitely still in the infancy of my sound, I currently have a rig with a crate gfx 212 and a board consisting of Big muff -> notaklon -> ds2 -> flamma mod -> nux analog delay However I used to use a fender mustang practice amp as well as a cube street 2 on and off (still use these for recording or headphones and stuff) I also use a stock squier tele almost exclusively because of the issues my other guitars have

I would like to see a wah wah type circuit fultone makes a wah ful pedal that Robin trower uses it it being able to have it in a set position without having the foot controller pedal it would be nice to see how the different values of parts mean what in a wah wah circuit

Tri A.C., British, Oxford, the BDDI, the PSA1 which seems like it can do anything, and the Trademark 60 is *always* worth your time to try out. Joyo makes ripping Character series clones, and others have their riffs on the theme like Palmer.

I want lots of delay with no repeats! That’s what I do on the Katana time to the lowest setting and Delay all the way up! Mike Campbell From the Heartbreakers uses the Blue MM4 Line 6 pedal live for Trem, Leslie, Flange and Chorus! I like your channel but I think most of us just want a Delay that makes our solos sound better not a Trem!

I have never touched a guitar in my life and i know nothing about playing one, i dont even care about music however i watched the whole video and i found it hilarious xD The older we get the more we learn. BTW a lanyard might help with the drops and the breaks.

This was less a tutorial than a showcase for pedals that 99.9% of guitarists have never even HEARD of. There was absolutely NOTHING revelatory about this video, nor explanations which would have been far more beneficial.

I like the original stuff Josh plays, he can have a laugh with one person/bands style and make it sound cool. The joke is the basement neckbeard kid that writes scathing criticism from his armchair.

Watching this made me realize that it’s not Catalinabread but Catalinbread. My mind’s not exactly blown but it is weird I never noticed that.

Doctor Q is a great pedal. It has such a rough envelope filter sound. The DOD, MU tron and other all sound nice and smooth. Doctor Q is the Rodney Dangerfield of filters. Double Muff is great. It's actually not a Muff fuzz but whatever the one before that was, times 2. It's super easy to mod too. And no filter, just 2 gain stages and a single/dual switch. Loved that Zipper thing gonna check that out.
